A Visit from Jeff

A major delight of being in the East is that we get to spend time with our children.  This trip includes several such occasions.  Jeff teaches at RPI in Troy, NY, so it is a short hop for him to spend the weekend with us in MA.  On Saturday we started our Berkshire day with an okay breakfast at a local diner.  Then we drove down the road to the Berkshire Botanical Gardens for a harvest faire.
The food booths offered samples and the chocolate was so delicious we were forced to take some home.  Jeff partook of a pulled pork parfait.

There are a lot of craftspersons in this area and we enjoyed seeing all the results.  One of the vendors sold alpaca wool right from the alpaca.
A few flowers were still in bloom and the bees were enjoying themselves.
This scarecrow has an alter ego named Al and a real living wife.
The small village of Williamstown has a fabulous Spanish restaurant Espana that we wholeheartedly recommend even though we have no photos to share.

One of Jeff’s purposes in joining us is to “humiliate” his mother in the game of Boggle.  After a particularly cruel game he poses with a tile piece adorning his glasses.
