Alligators

While Bennett, Cheryl and Dave returned to Disney Movie Studio Theme Park, Jerry, Anna Lee and Jeff took a break and went searching for alligators.

Wild Willie took us on an air boat trip through the Northern Everglades.  We delighted in seeing an eagle near her nest.  The nest has been there for seventeen years.

Egrets were everywhere.

The Scarlet Ibis paraded around the area showing that this was their home before humans settled in.

After kissing the New York family good-bye, we drove from Orlando to Aventura to spend a couple of days with Don and Barbara.  We all met about twenty years ago on a cruise.  We were set at the same table and became immediate friends.  The four of us frequently met in DC, but it was fun to visit them in Florida.  We had a great time talking (a lot) and enjoying Middle Eastern and Cuban food.

We are looking forward to their visiting us at home in California.
