Our Last Day in Glacier

The threat of strong winds and snow along Logan Pass and the Going to the Sun Road kept us confined to the RV for our last morning in Glacier Park.  There are many worse places to be than in a beautiful forest.

We were able to venture out in the afternoon and returned to Cedar Nature Trail.  On our previous trip five years ago we had continued from that trail to the snow-covered Avalanche Trail.  This time, though there was no snow, we only went as far as a series of waterfalls, enjoying the crispness in the air and the melody of the tumbling waters.

Dinner of salmon and chicken/shrimp penne pasta at the Lake McDonald Lodge was very good.  After dinner we attended a concert by Jack Gladstone, a Blackfoot Indian.

He infuses his music with cultural and environmental themes challenging the audience to think about the magnificent park and land beyond.
