Flagstaff

Cheryl and Dave met Cheryl and Michael when they were all living in Hilo.  Michael is an astronomer who now works at the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff.  We all enjoyed visiting and seeing the sites.

We ignored the rain and drove through Oak Creek Canyon to sunny Sedona.  The town has changed greatly since our first visit over twenty-five years ago.  Gone are the vibes of a small town of spirits and magic.  Now its streets are now lined with shops and restaurants though the town is still lovely.

Bennett enjoyed finding javelina and peering through the photo-op boards.
Afterward, Anna Lee & Bennett made music (????) together

After a couple of hours of browsing and eating, we headed for a hike through the gorgeous sandstone rocks and desert lands.
Dave and the other Cheryl discovered a spiders nest that peeked the entomologists curiosity.

We all enjoyed the hike and being in this lovely area.
The hike helped us work up a hearty appetite for Cheryl and Michael's delicious BBQ dinner.
