Canyonlands.

We spent a day hiking in nearby Canyonlands NP.  First we stopped at Newspaper Rock which has pictographs from as far back as 700 years.
Then we went on Cave Springs Trail.  Jerry and Anna Lee followed Bennett’s lead (which we did not realize was the wrong way on the loop).  We passed cairns which marked the trail.  Bennett added a stone so that he would return here someday.
We climbed and found wonderful views.

Cheryl and Dave had taken the trail the other way and met us at the top where Bennett decided to continue on with them. Then we had to go down TWO STEEP wooden ladders (taking the trails counterclockwise would have had us climbing which might have been easier.)
We found a lizard.
On Pothole Point Trail we found the holes.
This one attracted Dave the entomologist interest.
This rock formation is obviously named Wooden Shoe.
At the end of the trail, we found a shelter where cowboys used to live.

Driving back to the RV we got caught behind a real cowboy trying to get a group of cows off the road and back with the herd.
