This was to be our first stop of our fall trip but it was too hot. We are glad the current cooler temperatures let us go to these wonderful sandstone formations. We enjoyed seeing what water and wind had created.
We peeked into Mouse’s Tank, a 1890s outlaw hideaway where Bennett enjoyed hiking with his parents in the red rocks.
The walls of canyons are adorned with native petroglyphs.
This lizard seemed to want to pose for the camera.
We spent the night in Las Vegas then it is on east toward our date with 500 hot air balloons.
We love this park. Have stopped there a couple of times. Some awesome boondocking spots near there too.
