If you remember that line, you lived in San Francisco in the 60s. It was a slogan for Pan Am telling you about Flight 1 originating in San Francisco and going around the world. Pan Am is gone but the slogan put the travel bug in us and we have been working on doing it ever since.

Two Days, Four States
What a big country. We didn’t have time to do much in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania but drive. The welcome center in Indiana tickled our fancy with the ducks. They also had a very nice building.
In Indiana we paid respect to the motorhome industry by visiting the MH/RV Museum in Elkhart. It is a well funded building with rather limited exhibits. The Model T with trailer was the best one. It was good to hear real people in Elkhart, the community suffering from the highest unemployment rate in the country, talking about jobs returning to the area. Obama even came to town today to talk about the beginnings of a recovery, but we missed seeing him. He got there a few hours after we left. He spoke at the Monaco plant where our RV was made.
Pesque Isle Downs and Casino afforded us a parking space for a small donation to their industry.
